Esports

Esports
The COVID-19 Pandemic limited the operation of professional and college sports.  Many sports fans and sports broadcasters turned to Esports for relief.  Social distancing and safe sanitary practices are easier with Esports than with traditional sports.  ESPN even broadcast professional athletes competing with the video game version of their traditional sports.  Popular Esports leagues such as the Overwatch League saw a significant increase in viewers while stay at home orders were in place.
